Young Jeezy It’s The World EP (CTE)

CTE World cover

Despite Young Jeezy’s track record and the success of TM:103, CTE has come under fire recently for not being a “true” label. Case in point-the handling of the Freddie Gibbs “signing”, and subsequent departure. That being said, they’ve still managed to release two fire mixtapes in the last half year. The first one last December was “Es El Mundo” featured the comeback track “Get Right” which saw Jeezy throwin darts back at his critics.

This new EP features the recently crowned VP of A&R at Atlantic Records (Jeezy) collaborating with Rack City producer DJ Mustard, for a handful of bass heavy (strip?) club anthems that sound like they could have been recorded back in ’82 when Too Short was selling nasty tapes out the back of his drop top Eldorado.

Also featured is a new group from D-Town Doughboyz Cashout that signed to CTE last month.
